This guide contains some very general information about some of the materials Custom Extrusion, Inc. routinely processes.
This guide is in no way intended as a substitute for the technical data supplied by resin manufacturers.

NORYL®
Although more costly than some of the more common materials, the family of NORYL® resins, made exclusively by GE Plastics, has a combination of characteristics not readily available.
NORYL® is used for applications that require the part to be exposed to high heat
(185°F – 265°F.)
Generally speaking, NORYL®
- has good impact properties.
- offers good chemical resistance.
- is good for high heat application.
- is generally NOT affected by detergents, acids, and bases.
Of all the resins we extrude, it is the least likely to absorb moisture. Parts that absorb moisture will not fit properly and will not perform the job they were designed to do.

NORYL® extrusions are often used in applications calling for electrical insulating properties and/or resistance to flame.

Caution....

Some lubricants can degrade the properties of the material. Resistance to oils is limited. Specific applications should be evaluated. Compatibility of the lubricant with the material should be checked BEFORE using.
